Dave had never really been to this city before, his gigs were always step up exclusively in Manila. He slung his bag over his shoulder as he locked up the car and headed to the north entrance of the mall.
There were people everywhere, almost enough to make him feel claustrophobic. He muttered apologies as he shouldered his way through the crowds, keeping a look out for a girl with peculiar hair.
“This is where Lynn said she’d be,” he mumbled. He did a 360 to get a better view of the area before a sprinting child almost knocked him off his feet. Regaining his balance was a challenge, then soon enough another person knocked into him. This time in a flurry of blonde and black hair.
“There you are, Lynn. I was beginning to think you weren’t here.”
Lynn shook her head, laughing. “Of course I’m here! It’s the first time we’re going to meet face to face and you expect me to ditch you?” She giggled, before grabbing his hand and leading him out of the crowd, and basically, out of the mall to the parking lot.
It was very late actually, only a mere two hours until it was midnight, but she didn’t care though, she was an adult and she was allowed to be out pass her ten! The wind was chilly and the night was quiet aside from the noises of people talking and cars driving by.
She continued to lead him to a nearby bench, letting go of his hand and sitting down, patting the place beside her. “You look nice tonight,” she said softly, observing the outfit he had put in together. “Since there’s no ocean and no pools open at this time here, we can just hang out! I’ll teach you some astronomy if you want, too.”
Today was a Tuesday, but it wasn’t just any normal Tuesday; it's the Tuesday!
Lynn sat on a bench quietly and excitedly in a bustling mall, watching people and couples pass by, observing the happiness of their faces and their hands being held by each other. It kind of made her sad, just a tad, she really did miss her ex-lover, but who knows where he is right now. But now’s not the time to be sad! She’s going to meet up with a friend!

With anticipated excitedness, she continued to wait for her friend, swinging her legs a bit. The passerbys always took a glance at her, sometimes with an expression of disgust and sometimes with indifference, maybe it was because of her hair. A smile was on her face as she waited, and waited! And when she felt someone loom over her and dismiss the light in front of her, she looked up, happy at what she saw.
“Hi Dave!” She exclaimed, waving vigorously and standing up to greet him with a hug. Of course a hug, hugs are always great. “We’re going to have so much fun today!”.
